Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions apply when you use boardingfordinner.com or purchase a digital guide from Boarding for Dinner.

By placing an order, you confirm that you have read and agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not purchase or use our guides.

About us

Boarding for Dinner is an independent Australian food and travel platform selling curated digital city food guides. You can contact us at hi@boardingfordinner.com.

Using our website

You may use boardingfordinner.com only for lawful, personal purposes.

You must not scrape, reproduce, republish, redistribute, sell or commercially exploit content from our website or guides without our written permission. Our website and guide content are protected by copyright and other applicable intellectual property laws.

Buying a guide

Our guides are digital products. Prices are displayed in Australian dollars (AUD), including any applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

Payments are processed through Stripe or PayPal. After payment is confirmed, access to your guide will usually be provided electronically by email and, where available, through your account on our website.

You are responsible for providing an accurate email address and ensuring that your device can open the file format described on the product page. If you do not receive or cannot access your guide, contact us at hi@boardingfordinner.com.

We take reasonable care to ensure that prices and product descriptions are accurate. If we identify a genuine pricing or listing error before supplying your guide, we will contact you and offer you the choice of proceeding at the correct price or cancelling for a full refund.

Your licence to use a guide

When you purchase a guide, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to download and use it for your own travel planning.

Purchasing a guide does not transfer ownership of its content or intellectual property rights to you. You must not resell, redistribute, publicly share, reproduce or upload a guide, in whole or in substantial part, without our written permission.

Accuracy of guide content

Our guides reflect our research, experience and opinions at the time of publication. Restaurants and other venues may close, change ownership, alter their menus, prices or opening hours, or change their booking arrangements without notifying us.

We update our guides when reasonably practical, but cannot guarantee that every detail will remain current. Please confirm important information directly with the relevant venue before travelling or making a booking.

Information about dietary requirements or allergens should not be treated as medical or safety advice. Always discuss specific requirements directly with the venue.

Refunds

We offer a voluntary seven-day satisfaction guarantee in addition to any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.

To request a refund under this guarantee, email hi@boardingfordinner.com within seven calendar days of purchase and provide your order number or the email address used at checkout. You will be asked to complete a short refund request form explaining why the guide did not meet your expectations.

The completed form must be submitted within the seven-day period. Your refund is not dependent on giving a particular reason. Once we receive the completed form, we aim to process the refund within five business days.

We may decline a claim under the voluntary guarantee where there is evidence of misuse, including repeated purchasing and refunding of the same guide. This does not affect any rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law.

Change-of-mind requests made after seven days may be considered at our discretion. The seven-day limit and feedback-form requirement do not apply to remedies available for faulty, inaccessible or misdescribed guides under the Australian Consumer Law.

Full details are available in our Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms. If there is any inconsistency, the Refund Policy will apply to the refund process, subject always to the Australian Consumer Law.

Liability

Our guides provide general food and travel information. Decisions you make using that information, including decisions about travel, bookings, food, health and personal safety, remain your responsibility.

To the extent permitted by law, Boarding for Dinner is not responsible for loss caused by events outside our reasonable control or by changes made by restaurants, venues or other third parties after a guide was researched or published.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect personal information and forms part of these terms.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when our products, practices or legal obligations change. Updated terms apply from the date they are posted and will not retrospectively alter the terms applying to a completed purchase, unless required by law or agreed with you.

Last updated: August 2026.
